They say, when you rise in the morning

Think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive

To breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love

But what it life means no more than suffering?

When you rise in the morning with the desire to be dead

When every breath hurts

When you can’t think of anything else but pain.

When there is nothing to enjoy

And the only love you ever felt is cruelly snatched from you

So this is my story…

Opened my eyes—where am I?

Should be still at home, I fear they lied

Had to give you away

The pain is much too strong

You will find me one day

I hope I was not wrong

Where’s my dad and where are my toys?

This terrifying silence makes me fear

You are so different

Could not live alone

With all the time we spend

Think you need a new home
