Since I was a girl seventeen

I’ve made so many mistakes

I haven’t taken care of myself

I never knew when to pull the brakes

Now I was never one to believe

That I was worth a good thing

And so I spent so many years

Holding down my wings

Falling harder every day

Growing pains

I’m having some growing pains

And every time I fall off the train

I get up and try again

Now I’m not so young anymore

My excuses fly out the door

Daydreaming never saw nothing through

Wishful thinking ain’t gonna keep this boat afloat

Now it’s up to me to redefine the truth

Be brave and make the choice to choose

Clearing up the dust
