In the window, there’s a girl

And she screams to the Gods above

She begs please to be released

But she’s just left shouting louder

'Cause in her melancholy world

All the colours are fading and run

From this disease, she can’t find peace

For one day, one minute or hour

Maybe she knows that life is a joke

So she spins like a whirling dervish for love in a stranger’s eyes

She drinks 'til the morning light

There’s a clown and he laughs

With an evil that swallows you whole

Making fun of her every day

But there’s nowhere to run away

There’s a demon who’ll dance

On the pieces left of her soul

Keeps reminding her every day

That it’ll always be this way

She’s disguised in ribbons and bows

With perfect nails, she never fails

To be the life, the soul, the party

And though her heart is painted blue
