Stalemate -

A new found enemy,

The stench of treason,

Shall live in infamy,

Where they feed on souls.

A power eternal,

Blood-drunk and brutal deep

Move slowly through the cave

So we can kill them in their sleep

The beast awakens, the mother cries,

The walls now closing in

Can’t make it back to the surface now

The beast is in our way.

Undead and Immortal stand eye to eye

A war that never ends

Unholy place unholy times

When angels fall and demons rise

Rise

We long to see the sky

Feel the warmth of light

But we shall never leave here

Endlessly we fight.

The fallen and broken

Devoured by the fiends

My blade will pierce the beast

I hear his mother’s scream

The beast won’t fall, the mother cries,

The walls now come alive

Can’t make it back to the surface now.

The only way from here is down.
