Permant Haze - Double Echo

The light melts will dance into a daze

Streams of sunlight burns clouded eyes from a haze

A scream from inside, a tear from tired eyes

Drops onto the floorboards, filling an empty room

Chase in circles, always nearer to finding

Voices floor to ceiling shaking the life from the wall

A turn of a whisper staring down from a mirror

In the wake of an hour runs and hides in a corner

The light melts will dance into a daze

Sinking further away from the hand that makes the day

A scream from inside, a tear from tired eyes

Stares at the doorway never makes a move

Chase in circles, always nearer to finding

With pale surroundings a voice falls from the ceiling

Walk in a whisper, a now shattered mirror

Watch in anger, there’s nobody there nobody there at all
