I remember years back

Always longing through those days

Spent all alone

You found a friend in me

And then later we made four

Then one by one I watched you leave

But I got those heart felt memories

They’re still fading in through broken waves

I couldn’t bring myself to move

I just stayed alone

Found the purpose

Helping me out

Of what we did with what we had
