Blossom - I Mother Earth

Whatever hearts we break

Whatever beds we’ve made

Our every domino will come down

Whatever love we gave

It was alive then stayed too late

In the kaleidoscope of sundown

The ever-reckless wonder

I let us lumber down the sadder road to sometime

But when our best hits bottom

Surrender hollers like a dynamo that’s on fire

Whenever I fall I make it sensational

I make it no less than awesome

One wretched blossom come may

I’ll never un-break your day

You’ll never talk me honest come hell or harvest… no way

All shock and no shine

Never having minds in my darkest time to turn to

And when the words are wanting

I am afraid I might stay and softly break

We measure our time in pleasant yet wounded orbits

In the once hungry days of fairly ordinary life

In the warm fist revelation soul kiss

Wide awake and mostly done
