When he wakes up from his sleep

They realize he’s gone too deep

There’s nothing left but empty seats

And hollow skulls with no teeth

Every now and then I see a sign of hope

And I try to keep it all together

Losing just a little bit of rope

That’s tied to the end of rotting dream

The tide is high and the moon is red

The best of us are left for dead

Well the bridges burn in the amber fire

And there’s no way back and no desire

The buildings have all collapsed

And all the saints are dressed as rats

The nomads have nowhere to go

When the darkness starts to take control

As we sold what was left of our occupied homes

In exchange for a grave on a mountain full of gold

You can run you can hide

But in the end its all one ride

So we take and we maim

While we beg for another day
