Apple Tree - Larch

I was here in August, sweet August

I passed by an apple tree

The fruit was heavy, but I wasn’t hungry

Now the season has changed

And with I’ve changed

Eat the fruit that dangles before you

The bough and the ground

Point our lost and found

Maybe I should have loved it all a little more

Because when I loved, the sky had light

And there was life in these eyes

Eat the fruit that is ripe

Do at the time what is right

Pick the seed of want

Before it turns to rot
