Kinfolks Holler - Loretta Lynn

Paw and Maw Uncle Bill and Aunt Lil were the first to settle this holler

They built them a house with the help of the Lord

Cause they didn’t have the almighty dollar

Then ole Mother Nature she had her way

And they were blessed with sons and daughters

And as time went on nobody moved off and it became Kinfolks Holler

Way down here in Kinfolks Holler everbody is a kissin' cousin

Paw is the law the preacher and the judge and he rules with a mighty firm hand

He’s the deacon of the church and the mayor of the town

Yeah my Paw’s a mighty big man

When he’s dead and gone we’ll carry on his rules he’s sworn to follow

But at a hundred and five he’s still mighty spry down here in the Kinfolks
