I was thinking about a friend

I was left alone again

You kept me awake

As I couldn’t understand

The way she had to part with him

He’s such a decent man

I would’ve appreciated a call

We could talk about it all

I’ve got some problems of my own

Then I thought about the girl

How she thought about the world

If she found it bigger than a shell

Even though the club was safe (?)

Placed neatly upon her shell

I think my aim is to understand

What really makes man

And if it’s fair to say «i am»

And if it’s safe to say «I care»

Should I invite him over here
