In a four cornered enclosure

Winter seems to be much longer

Made across the heavy water

That you ponder into light

In the morning you slip under

The veil of illusion

Feathered dust

At what hour was the owner

Allowing praise to affect

Your better judgement again

And again and again

Why the acrid embers?

Eyes made sore

Paying the blackened toll

Drinking the liquid gold
