It appears that my genres are caught in a slump

Stuck ankles deep, feet lost in the mud

But the issue of my dedication’s not to discuss

And I laugh when they say Hip Hop’s not in my blood

Where the fuck else would it be

Would it help if I breathe

Life into clay

Or would it help if I speak less eloquently

And belch when I eat like I am the same

This is the difference

This is art, this is the business

It’s intrinsic

For me to try and bridge the distance

But I leap at first, no inhibitions

No intermittent work days

No intermission

You’re wrong if you’re thinking I can’t bite the bullet

I still push, when others on the same side are pulling

And I won’t stop here…

Our place will not be lost, this is the book marker

Reality’s not gone, just look farther

Put Armageddon out of your mind and mind your good karma

Hip Hop’s not dying we just have to push harder

We came from cave painters on barren walls

And evolved to fiends for weak paste and aerosol

And we won’t stop here…

I was never not about it

Never copping out, I set my goal at stomping mountains

You know that God allowed it

Now it’s me, put on a show and watch the crowds trip

Rocking house parties to opera houses

Purpose isn’t something you choose

It either gets lost in a cluster or becomes what you do

Along the way, a lot of rain and cold winters

It’s the Northwest, go figure

But I’m no quitter

The industry is tainted, piss in the batter

So I don’t listen to rappers

And all their whimsical banter

They don’t talk like they live

And pleasure material objects can give is as false as it gets

I used to want a major label, or I thought that I did

Now destroying pop’s at the top of my list

And I won’t stop 'till it is

Don’t think this is not a commitment, I swear to God that it is

I’ve walked through flames, but none burned like the flames within

I’ve treaded ice that was paper thin

I’ve waited my whole life just to get a taste of this

And learned that the wait was just as worth it

The angst I’ve lived has made a richer person

I’ve tamed the inner serpent so Sapient can surface

And I won’t stop here…
