Couch Surfer - Stalemate

I waste my time scrolling pictures on a phone

Ignoring calls while I sit at home

I think it’s fine, but how would I actually know?

When I’m stuck here and I can’t let go

I wanna get away from the mind-numbing routine

But I don’t wanna do it by myself

So I’ll wait another day, expecting things to change

While never getting up off of the couch

Don’t understand how anyone could get so close

Without a chance of redeeming hope

I guess I can, but do I really wanna cope?

I say I’ll try, but you know I won’t

I wanna get away from the mind-numbing routine

But I don’t wanna do it by myself

So I’ll wait another day, expecting things to change

While never getting up off of the couch
