After all the people we’ve offended

My funeral will be barely attended

Or just so busy they’ll be turned away

As they line up to spit on my grave

Give eulogies, lie to your face

Convince each other I’m in a worse place

They can dig me up to kick me about

Even the worms will spit me right out one day

Throw a street parade with my head on a spike

Stick my corpse in the stocks if you like

Rip out my teeth for a charm on your neck

To warn all the people that I never met

Tie me to horses, tear me to quarters

Until I’m hung, until I’m drawn and slaughtered

But it’ll kill them, it’ll leave it’s mark

To find out that I died with love in my heart one day

Only God can judge me, and clearly he hates me

If he could stand me, he’d come down and take me

But instead I’m stood on the edge of this cliff
