Silhouettes - The Rare Occasions

Gingerly our silhouettes walk parallel

Beneath a sea of desperate electric energy

And in spite of my greatest resistance

The feeling is marked with persistence

I’m drowning in your existence

Cascading about, we will soon figure out that we’re

Aimlessly pacing the streets just to be together

I’ll write you a thunderstorm

So forlorn it echoes and

Shatters everything you fear

Fervent clouds;

through bleary eyes and weary minds we

Think aloud as distant reflections pass us by

Resonant words are but stammers

Streetlights cut through the night mist

A light kiss: extinguish
