One step closer

So high over

All that’s under

Is so below her

I’m not touching anything

No cloud cover

We must take full advantage of this high pressure system

I can see our homes from up here

Despite this dense cloud bank

They look so clear

It’s like our height and vantage

Put our homes in alignment

I’ll watch your six and you can watch mine

This is lightness, this is bliss

This isn’t free fall

We can control this

If I drop my arm

I’ll take a swoop to the side

I’ll grade your barrel rolls if you critique mine

The ground’s approaching, the engines are dead

Your black box readout’s the saddest thing I’ve ever read

Let’s watch our street get bigger as we hit our top speed

I can’t help but feel eternally freed

Promise me we’ll never touch ground

I hate the Earth’s pull.

I hate that rushing sound

If we can’t float forever

On cerulean skies
