Strange Land - The Tear Garden

Tried the swirling mists of Avalon

The suburbs of Pompeii

I trod the Himalayan foothills

Stopped in Denver for a day

I sampled sweet Siberia

Flew whales 'round Tampa Bay

I pitched my tent next to the palace

In the Republic of No Way

And I’ve been one with the people

I trod water, rode the clouds

Not trying to impress you

But I cannot cope with crowds

Just be assured I’ve liked it here, I recommend the view

If I had to do it all again, I’d wear my better shoes

My friends are so accommodating, even you

Know this world is full of wonders

Under each and every stone

And the alarm bell on your phone

I have dipped my feet in waters

That would chill your fragile bones
