I saw you at home the other day

There was a familiar greeting in a familiar way

The words on my tongue were too tired to be said

Best to avoid them all instead

So much fuel has already been burned

The book has been read, but the pages left unturned

The actions and methods appear indecisive

But every step toward happiness seems derisive

Schemes and plans come crashing down

But the fact remains that we are still around

With best motivations and best intentions

Colliding and working to relieve these tensions

Longing for a future of security

All life offers is unsettling uncertainty

Death and rebirth are cycle, the cycle of time

While dedication and affection are both a crime

I still long for the day when everything is flawless

A way to achieve growth, unity, and progress

If I could just find a way to solve this equation

Warmth and devotion would return without persuasion
