She wanders the grounds

Patiently awaiting the end

«Turn back!»

she said to me

«His mind is collapsing he does not see reason!»

I fear what she’ll do

with the knife in her hand

Warm path of evergreen

His eyes pierce the night sky

With no recognition

Blackened dreams of distant shores

Step forward and realize this dream

With empty eyes you smile at me

As his tears meet dry earth

A river flows from the place of his funeral

And the path that lead us home has now been turned to dust and fire

In perfect elegance you sit

Watching the flames shoot skyward
