A lion chasing antelope

Then it slashed my heart

And all the chases I’d been on

Were rushing waves of mauve

So many sails catch the squall

And deep cave mouths provide a light

Spitting bone colored light on stone

New dreams crawl backwards

The flame’s alive

I’m there chasing antelope

As they cross my eye

All the chases I’ve been

Rush into my mind

So many sails fill and pull

And the caves ignite again

There, an uncut diamond shone
