So I turned and faced the wave

It kept on calling out my name

You know the echoes tried to throw me off

but the shadows helped my aim

So I kept on treading water

Until I got somewhere to see

It was another wave standing 10 feet tall

And it towered over me

These tidal waves keep coming

They are washing over me
